Throw any thing at the swirl and see where it goes

I do not know about anyone else but I thought from a previous message about Sean's rants I thought, why could there not be a place for the regular ranters could drop out well thought out commentary on a subject they may know about.

Or like I am feeling right now screaming about is the new FCC - MPAA link that basically is saying that the MPAA can tell electronic equipment manufacturers that they can block AV output ports. Do you believe they should be allowed to do that? (source:  http://www.boingboing.net/2010/05/07/fcc-hands-hollywood.html )

Now I want this thread to be about where to locate such a rant archive. To just let lose one frustrations over stupidity like this one!

*facepalms* Yes, Youtube, vimeos, archive.org, Way back machine......

Yes, I should have thought of that last night or early this morning. But I wanted some more organized location....

I'd say go ahead and post it on youtube or vimeo, then make a page in the wiki to track rants. As someone uploads a rant, they could add a link in the wiki page.

Sounds like a wonderful idea! That way if you want a rant to be known by a certain group of people, post it, then link it some where that people that you want to notice it, will notice it.

Perhaps we could get a Rant channel on youtube (if there isn't one already) for all the Rant stuff to be hosted to, and this channel could then "favorite" other people's rant's, videos, etc, so we could have a one stop shop for all things rant and rant related.

Don't hate the media, become the media.

There's definitely an official RantMedia channel:
http://www.youtube.com/user/rantmedia

We also have a ranter that helps out hosting the 12+ minute videos from Rant as well:
http://www.youtube.com/user/rkuchiki

I also do favor just about everybody's Rant related video post that I run across. :-) I'll put on my thinking hat on how to better organize and collect together all the various video channels and videos that *ALL* the ranters have.

Any suggestions?

Smiley There could be various ideas. I think I saw the best from Avagdu some time ago when he suggested using archive.org to host stuff. Though I think my original rant that is first listed would have been *tame* compared to how angry I am with ACTA and some really bad ideas I am finding.

Would love to hear your ideas, Cimm.

What I would love to see is good, conscienable rants.. Some thing with good information, inspiration tale or a great take on some issue. Nothing is worse on a rant than to listen to some one spew or spat off in ignorance or futility. (Though here in American one has the right to do this foolishly.)

Man, this must have been one of my most popular threads. And yes, this week I could have yelled a thousand literal epithets for all that I see wrong with the world. I would love to see more rants of good topics and links posted here in the audio section.
