I noticed a bunch of threads popping up in the RSS feed about some remixes on songs downloaded.  This is kinda annoying and I'm sure takes up bandwidth needlessly.  Anyone interested in brainstorming to find a solution here?

Maybe someone should set up a small website on one of those free servers like webs.com or something for remix songs or something, and just have 1 thread that links to it?

I'm done for now.
Sorry - it had been building up for awhile elsewhere.
I kinda wanted to get them all posted b4 the next PP Radio Show.
No moar remix till next drunken manic day.
I also didn't know it was spamming RSS feeds....guess my first e-concert sucked.
Sad

Nicotine, you beat me to the comment.

HG, How about build all of your remixes off one or two threads? That way anyone who really wants to read them can but does not flooded the PPR forum. I really DID enjoy your stuff. Its just a bit much for a two or three day spread. Smiley  So if you leave it on a couple hanging threads with one major post with a REMIX subject and then just adding additional posts to that it would not flood the main PPR forum subsection.

You might also want to post over in Audio or RantAudio sections. Smiley Please DO post more but to be kinder to folks that do not have unlimited network or higher bandwith caps, (mainly outside the US - UK & Canada areas) that would help them out greatly.

Hope to hear from you again soon, HindGrinder. Smiley

HG, I read through your stuff, and I like it.  I didn't mean not to do it or anything, just trying to figure out a more RSS or bandwidth friendly way about it.  Don't take my fussieness personally.  Tongue

I see your pretty new here, so welcome!  Sorry my first post directed your way was me bitching about stuff.  Tongue  I do tend to be a bit of an internet grouch sometimes.

I think I'll stand in agreement with the last post.

(this is a slow day Sad )

Again...sorry guys...
In my defense though...I DID ask politely if I could spam here...
Bandwidth isn't something I usually give much thought to.

On the west coast of North America usually do not have to think about such things like bandwith or caps. But in other parts of the world, there are such things and they tend to be really, really a lot lower. I really could estimate for you but I usually do not worry about caps from my ISP though my isp loves to traffic shape and do other things when things get hairy.

RSS is great because it allows people to just focus on data they really want to read. I believe RSS is just a link database?

But with a stacked page like what was suggested, I would not have to sift through hundreds of posts to get to the one I wanted. And your posts were realitively the same type fo remix type, so having one forum post with all of the same subject would be easier for everyone.

Though I do love your posts. Smiley

I think the REMIX threads should be merged into a single thread. My 2 cents

I think what I'll do is mash them into Genres.
Country/Rap and uh...as yet unposted Grindcore.

I really, sincerely and truly wish everyone in our country had the same bandwidth that I do.
It COMPLETELY changes the way you use the internet.

*sighs*

Controlling bandwith is one great way to control information. Slower internets just slows down development around a region or country as faster internet moves around them. Eventually either a country will get plugged in at some point or a countries people will just sneakernet data in and out without a countries political persuasion knowing it. Or they will use encryption or find other ways to access faster internet through other means. (Going outside the country, getting it at a university or through friends.)

I agree HG. Its sad to see that some countries are still based in dialup mode, either by choice or circumstance. (There are some very GOOD reasons why dialup is only available in certain areas due to economic means or geological hazards that block any good wireless networks or population density is so small and spread out dispersingly that it makes NO sense have higher speeds.)

Bah - there is a technology solution to remote access.
The drawback to the NWO is dispersed population density - hence the lack of willpower and finance to bring broadband to everybody.  Monetary profit is the only motivator for private business and remote communities are typically poor - not rich.
The cost of delivery to many remote areas (especially Native Indian Reserves) far outweighs the potential to profit from an already impoverished community.  I wish the Indians would set up their own Reserve-Wide 4G Networks and share freely with each other.

Smiley Don't give away any GREAT ideas like THAT one! Some how, some way the special people might hear it and they'll make that technology limited to who can have access to it at the federal level. I do not mean the end user stickies, I mean the Transmission type. I believe all 4G and other transmissionable items like this have to go through the FCC in some form or another and I bet it would get limited right there!
