As I said in a private PM to CImm, I would be happy to step in his role to upload a show to the archive.org. My problem is that my several streamripper options have not worked over the past couple of weeks to rip to mp3 or wav. And with a tendon surgery coming up, I really need to spend my time getting some stuff done instead of researching more?

So I was hoping I might find a way to be able to download the file from the RR talk radio station feeder (ftp site?) and post it up on archive.org for Cimmerian. Or come up with other options...

I have had unfortunate connection problems all night and was not able to record this audio. IS there a way that Cimm, you could let Dak know that I am interested in grabbing this from your archive? I tried Facebook, PM and TUDS on Facebook, I tried email, I tried posting a private message via the RR forums.

Without going much farther and invading Unkle Dak's privacy, I am at a loss on how to contact him to get his permission so that I can upload the file and take on Cimm's role.

I could provide hosting space for an archive, however due to my work schedule I cannot rip it from the stream myself. So, destined, if you do manage to find a way to get ahold of the episodes, I could hook you up with an FTP.

Yugo, there was a comment from one of Dak's regular commenters on Facebook that she is working on a website and archive. I still do plan on trying to rip shows on tuesday night if I can figure out the bugs and when she is ready, she can take over what I am doing now. I did miss the Episode 8 night.

This thread has remained quite for too long and that makes me sad.  I missed the previous two episodes due to other things in life (one of them being me fucking up the recording) so if anyone out there happens to have eps 8 or 9, please point me in the right direction and I'll love you for it.

Ah, I wasn't aware of the website in the works.  I had seen people talking about other options of getting stuff onto Archive.org / hosting on their own servers, but nothing seemed particularly organized.  If someone's doing something semi/official, though, I wish them luck and anxiously await the result of their efforts.

as far as I know Tits megee and Mayhem are working day and night with a specially chosen team of hacker ninja lemurs to get a web site up, all we can do is hope.

from what I have been reading on facebook, its now url resolved and  a webhost has been chosen. All we are waiting for is the content, template and finalized web design to show up. As someone who does web design on the side, I can agree with Cavetroll with some major degree.

And since most of this is done on their own private time, it is going to take as much time as they want.

Though I wish someone would allow me to post the audio from the RR server. I am just tired of failure on my machine and several reinstalls of different linux distros trying to find a way to record the audio stream
