There is a news that the UK goverment is planing a bill to oblige drivers to pay a fee when entering a city centre(currently lorrys in London pay a £200 per day fee to go near house areas). The goverment claim that this messuare is necassary to reduce the amont of car traffic in this part of the city.
Do you really think that this is a solution?

To lower the amount of traffic that goes in to city center.  A lorry or Tractor Tailer, Semi Truck need to go into the city to deliver there goods and they know this.  Its bullock.  Make it seem that they want to stop people from moving around.  (stay in you home all it as it should be)  says the loud speaker.

The solution sucks they sould not have these fees and encurouge more people to visit.  Tourist use buss, taxi, and walk they dont bring they own car with them.  Not if you have to fly to get there. So your not adding to the proplem your just making more money.

Bridge toll cost go to maintain the bridge but there a bussiness providing a service like any one elese they want to make profit too.

Yet another glorious stealth tax from Labour under the pretenses of environmental protection/security.

I'll add its also being considered for the SAME exact reasons here in the US.

Tolls, miles driven per dollar/cent, cross a bridge, you pay a fee. On and on, its beng considered for the same reason in the states of Washington, Oregon and Californian.  These two states hardly ever don't stop a fee increase that doesn't smell like roses to them.
