Because of the rush to build internet infrastructure faster than the US is. And, because of privacy and other US comments, more and more foreign companies are moving their data storage, colocation to places outside the US.

Thanks cimm..

But if the US NSA is really smart, they will have key snooping and internet traffic monitors on all the internet and sattelite based communication systems throughout the world.

So your really never getting away from them, even if you try and keep your internet traffic inside the canadian belt way...
