I just wanted to chime in that I am a $5/month contributor and would like it to be more soon. Yes, I would buy Sean a bear. A grizzly. I mean he'd probably train the damn thing in perimeter defense.

Wait, an associate has just informed me he asked if everyone would buy him a "BEER". Yes, I would do that, too.

Anyway, dig deep people, think about how much you enjoy the show and fork over a couple bucks a month...

Note: this comment was posted at http://sean_kennedy.livejournal.com as well. Just trying to encourage people to support the show and other activities connected to it.

I think it's great if people can donate.  I, however, can't even support myself right now, so I try to contribute by getting involved in a more hands on way(websites and projects and such).  As soon as I can I will be donating, but until then, I see nothing wrong with people who can't afford it to get involved in Wog media projects.  In fact, I think it'd be really beneficial.

Yeah, I agree. I never meant to imply people should go through hardships to donate...

I was talking about people who could afford it. $5/month is about $0.17/day so I don't really feel like it is a lot of money but I did listen to Newsreal and watch Patrolling for a long time before I became a regular donator. I mean, you have to make sure your basic needs are met before you start taking care of others.

I know what you meant, sorry if it didn't come off that way.  This time last year I could have donated, I may have, can't really remember.  But in late November, I started getting sick, real sick, ended up not working for two months, then quitting when the stress got to be too much(my insurance was canceled while I was on short term disability, and I wasn't notified until after about $2K had already gone into medical tests to find out what was wrong).  Other things cropped up, like my dog breaking her leg, and my current employer playing favorites, so I only work two days a week, 4-5 hours a day, and yes, I'm looking for a new job.  I'm really trying to make enough to get up to the RR's 10th, and when I have even $2 I can spare toward a donation, I definitely will.  There was a turnaround in my life when my fiance introduced me to RantRadio, and it was a good one, so I think it's only fair to give something back.  Thus the "hands on" I mentioned earlier.

Sorry if I seem to ramble, it happens sometimes. Wink  But in all seriousness, donating time if money isn't an option, is always welcome in my book.

Arg... my condolences, that's a hard road to walk. I hope you have better luck going forward!
