In the beginning of the episode, the subject of Sensory Deprivation tanks was brought up.  I have always thought that would be very cool to try.  I couldn't believe that the movie "Altered States" wasn't mentioned.

Basically it's about sensory deprivation tanks, magic mushrooms from Mexico, and getting back to the first self.  Some trippy stuff.

Speaking of magic mushrooms, current studies suggest a mushroom trip can have long term benefits for you.

Now to find a DIY for sensory deprivation tanks...

Altered States is a pretty awesome movie. Highly recommended.

I am quite experienced with Psilocybin, and have taken the sacrament many times. I have done YEARS of research on entheogens, and only have tried substances which I have researched thoroughly and understood.

As for Salvia, I can't stand the stuff. 15 minutes of feeling like the Earth is spinning off axis and you're perpetually falling down? Nah. I prefer smoking some highgrade skunk instead, thank you very much.

Hacking your brain is dangerous, and believe me, it's the kind of thing where you won't realize the damage it does to you until others point it out. I have a terrible short term memory from all the stupid things I've done, but thanks to a Palm Pilot or cellphone organiser I can get by. I mean, how does it go? "by the time you're 40 you'll act like you're 2?" Totally agree. That shit IS playing with fire. Qigong is my thing nowadays.

Tell me how that works out...

As for mind hacking, yea it's dangerous. It should always be approached with caution. However, learn from others mistakes instead of making the same old mistakes.

Weed is great for relaxing and is perfectly safe in moderation. Brainwave alteration is temporary usually but can be dangerous. Other drugs, I'm not sure how safe most are. Salvia seems to have some issues with safety. Weed has been used for many centuries and never killed anyone. Not sure if Salvia killed anyone or not. Cocaine and other hard drugs, STAY AWAY.

For anyone wondering, I'm bowing out. It was great being here but I have to move on. I wish I could stay and keep contributing here but it just can't continue.

It was fun and I thank everyone for everything they have done.

I have not tried Salvia, but it sounds interesting from what I have read.  I hear you about the skunk though Smiley_
