How do you get the RSS feed to work with Ipod/Itunes?
I'm not that savvy with this kind of thing, sorry!

Just bear in mind that iTunes isnt a great podcast app. It does not resume downloads and if the stream gets cut halfway, you are left with a half a podcast. Basically an unusable intro to the show that you wanted ALL of.

Try to scout around for something else that bothers to check if you have your entire podcast before moving on to the next download.

Frankly I am getting bored waiting for apple to fix this.

Or I do it the funner way, just burn it to a CD and run it over and over again in Playback mode instead of spending vast amounts of money on that thing.

iTunes is free software.

I think he was referring to the ipod (the topic IS called "ipod?" after all)

And theres nothing WRONG with the ipod, It just costs too damn much. I love mine (got it for free with the purchase of my macbook  Grin  )  and it works well, taken a beating. Just too expensive to buy on it's own.

iTunes is free software.

Depends on your definition of "free".

I assume he meant 'free as in doesn;t cost a dime"

Pretty much the best you can hope for from a large multinational corporation. open source is either stripped down or nonexistant among them types.

Yes, you're right it's not open source. If someone can suggest a good open source equivalent for iTunes that you can subscribe to podcasts and sync with an ipod and works on OS X I'll gladly use it. I use as much cross-platform open source software as I can.

I used to use GTKpod on linux, but this was a few years ago and it was... Difficult. Don't know about the state of development these days though

The new version of Amarok is supposed to work on OS X - If its as good as the last version then its worth it.

Have you tried Songbird? (getsongbird.com)
a bit of a iTunes clone, made by ex-employees of Mozilla and Yahoo..
Iīm not sure, if you can sync a iPod with it. (donīt have a iPod)
