Okay I´m sick and tired of all the spam, trojans, viruses and pedofuckes on Limewire so I need a sub, anyone know a good one?

And yes I use bittorrent but sometimes it´s easier just to download one file instead of an album.

There is frostwire. Doesn't have the builtin malware that limewire comes with.

However, it uses the frostwire network, so the content is the same.

I think the Gnutella network is still around, but it's pretty quiet.

Your welcome.

I also noticed an error in my post I meant frostwire uses the limewire network. frostwire and limewire are different ways of accessing the same stuff.

What happened to Imesh? Is that still running?

What about personal friend file sharing using direct connect? My buddy is rich and has almost every movie and song ever put on a disk on his sub domain at cal-tech. I can't give out his login but you get the idea.

Since when are you forced to download an entire album?

What BT client do you run? Normally you can pick and choose what you want to grab out of a torrent.

Or, at the very least, specify what order you want files to download in. that way you can turn the torrent off after you have what you want.

+1 on Shareaza.  Make sure you get it from sourceforge, the domain name got hijacked by the BearShare people, IIRC.

Yeah, industry-backed identity theft.  Information about that can be found here: http://pantheraproject.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=46&t=1070

For music by itself I like SoulSeek.  I've found a lot of rare and out of production tracks off of it.
