I'll go ahead and pretend here...

Going with Obama as president, it wouldn't surprised me if a portion of the soldiers from Iraq are transferred to Afghanistan to press forward into Pakistan. I'd imagine that Bush is setting up the stage for Obama to play in Afghanistan/Pakistan. I would also imagine that it depends on how well the current president of Pakistan plays with the corp-political militants.

...that's it in a nutshell, I suppose.

Yeah, I have no doubt that no matter who comes into office next, they are going to be stuck holding a very unsavory bag of tricks. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if Bush declares war on Iran in his last day of office just so Obama is forced to deal with it. Politicians should be hunted down and killed like dogs.
