Does anyone know where I can pick up magazines for the bushmaster "Carbon-15" This is the rifleI heard that it'll accept 9mm uzi mags, but i've never actually seen a 9mm uzi mag so I don't know for sure. any confirmation on this? They don't have to be actual bushmaster mags, any compatible brand will do. Any help is appreciated, thanks! Edit: and I know I can get em off the bushmaster site. I'm hoping to find a cheaper third party source.

That ton of stuff I posted a pic of came from 44mag.com They were having a pre-election sale. There are still a bunch of generic mags still in stock. 32 round mags for $20 not too shabby! http://www.44mag.com/prodinfo.asp?number=CP9edit: for the record, bushmaster magazines are very very nice.

Thanks for the links. The capacity does not matter, they have to be pinned anyways (I'm in canada) to 5 rounds. I might be able to get away with 10 rounds since to my knowledge there are pistols that take them.

Here is a great 5 round mag for your M1A. CMI (Check Mate Industries) makes the USGI magazines for the military. If you buy a springfield armory magazine, you're actually buying a CMI mag with the S.A. stamp. http://www.44mag.com/prodinfo.asp?number=CM5Personally I've heard that 5 round mags get stuck in a lot of guns, due to being so short. I'll keep an eye out for 5/10 round mags. re: Canadian Law Let me get this straight. Maximum capacity for pistols = 10 and rifles = 5 ? If that is the case, I think I'd modify my colt to take 10rd glock mags and share a common magazine. edit: here are some 10-rd 9mm mags for $17.99us http://www.cproductsllc.com/shop/product_info.php?cPath=22_37&products_id=60I guess you will need to pin them yourself. It's a shame, because 32 rounders are the same price XD. *It wouldn't be a bad idea for me to pick up 7 of these for use in the future.

M1A mags are easy easy to get here. My favorite gun store has a big bin of them up at the front counter, $12 a pop.
I've email the canadian firearms center to see if I can legally have unpinned 10 round mags. If I can, i'll get 10 rounders.
I'll look and see if I can find a glock 17 mag conversion kit for the rifle, but keep in mind my lower is different, the mag well is smaller than a regular ar-15 lower (and not just because of the insert) so it might not be that easy to find.

Well, best of luck. I remember being very very frustrated with my options when living in California. In some cases, you just have to play by the rules, and buy a bunch more mags with the lower capacity. In some cases, it completely effects the weapons platform you choose. For example, living where you do.. buying a compact pistol has no penalties what so ever.. because if you chose a full sized pistol, your magazine is still capped at 10 rounds. I was seriously considering a SigP229 (12 rd capacity) over the SigP226 (20 rd capacity). If you are living somewhere with a magazine capacity limit, the 229 may be more appealing. So, living somewhere with different rules, really will effect which firearms you choose. My M1A is still a California Queen. =)

Hey man, I did a little reading on Bushmaster 9mm uppers.. and apparently they are proprietary and will not work with any other AR Lower receiver except for a bushy 9mm lower. With that in mind.. I am really not sure if bushy mags are compatible with the standard AR 9mm magazines.
I've decided to go with a RRA 9mm 7" shorty A4 upper myself. I'll let you know how it performs. ...if I like it, I'll get one in 5.56

You know, Olympic Arms makes dedicated 9mm lowers that take Glock magazines. Just FYI.

won't work with my upper (see d/\t/\m/\gg0+'s last post) so If I was gonna do that I may as well buy a whole new rifle. Which would be awesome, but I'm kinda saving for school. As you well know, this school shit is expensive.

I emailed CProducts the other day, and asked if their magazines work with Bushy lowers... the answer is yes. They fit the Bushmaster and you can order 32 round. That guy is from this site: http://www.cproductsllc.com/You can also get their stuff from here: http://www.44mag.com/Cheers! edit: On a side note, I picked up a cproducts 9mm Magazine well. Their magwell will take 9mm mags from Bushmaster or their own brand mags. ..in addition anyone can use UZI Magazines if they have been modified. ...but if i buy uzi mags, they're going to be for an uzi. XD

I'm still awaiting word from the firearms centre on whether or not unpinned 10 round 9mm mags are legal for the AR. They basically just replied stating that I can import magazines, but never actually answered my question. Man I hate those idiots, they do this every time.

Finally got my order in from CProducts. They screwed it up, and forgot to throw in my 9mm Magazine well adapter. GRRRRR! these are 100% bushy compatible!
