Currently its merely online...I seem to remember some RR material was getting airtime at a few random stations around the US, though.

Some of our projects like Afternow gets aired on FM stations, our Industrial station has been played in many clubs and Patrolling has been aired on community broadcast TV stations as well.

Sometimes Tales From The Afternow gets some airtime on CB.  I've heard tell of it being broadcast from a pirate shortwave station once or twice, but I have yet to confirm it.

Shortwave would be the most awesome for Afternow, perfect feeling!

We need more wogs with amateur radio licenses.  That could give rise to some interesting occurences, so long as people respect the limits of the license.

Here's a good place to start, for those interested:  http://www.qrz.com/p/testing.pl

It could be interesting for us Brits as we don't need licenses for CB over here, so it'll be easier to broadcast.

However, not so many people use CB here than in North America. So it's a bit of a trade-off.

Still, I should invest in a CB radio. Could be something to do!

Umm, I think we do. My first girlfriends whole family had CB licences.

Yeah you need a licence in the UK to use a CB but I had one for over 5 years without a licence when I was a kid and I had a huge antenna stuck on the side of my house and still had no trouble with any licensing enforcement. I live in Wales though so my signal never travelled far because of all the mountains so maybe that’s why I never got picked up. I can't imagine that a licence can be too expensive these days. If enough people are willing to do it this way then what we could do is all have a set channel for broadcasting as well as a set time, so we are all sending out the same content at the same time as well as mapping what areas we are covering with our broadcasts.

The license was abolished a year ago.

That’s cool, I'd start broadcasting some episodes of afternow if I still had my old rig.

Perhaps we can, as wogs, be the ones that actually use CB radio.

It might be possible to re jig some of those fm mp3 rebroadcaster units to give them a larger range, or transmit rant and other programmes over fm in a more 'piratey' way.

.....but that might break a few laws....

I would have to say that cb only has a limited range, generally less than that of a PMR radio, according to Mad Man, one of trhe presenters on our 'net-cast'

I read somewhere that it is illegal to broadcast anything but voice over CB channels, and that if you are broadcasting music or anything else then the FCC can bust down your door.

If you play just Afternow then it will be just voice (and a bit of ambient background noise). Still I think we need something more effective than CB radio...

We could try riding tricycles with speakers attached to our heads, but that might be  a bit conspicuous.

Isn't there something like 'relay' stations that boost the signal or something? Sorry if that's completely stupid, but what I know about transmitting radio could be written on a postcard.

If we want to be really daring, one of us could get a job in a supermarket or a shopping centre and play it over the speakers, though that might get us in trouble. Effective, though. Imagine hearing  Afternow for the first time while buying some branded clothing.

(It's a joke, by the way. Not advocating anything illegal here)
