I will be there, and I will be looking like this person. But I will be wearing a different shirt.

Congrats on your successful meet up! It's always good to see these types of things happen. I encourage more people to organize meet ups in their area.

I'll send you guys a link to the photos when you approve them I'll post 'em. Thanks.  If any of you guys want to write an overview of the meet up that would be great.

First, I would like to thank Avagdu and OneEyedElf1 for taking the time and making the effort to attend.  I really enjoyed myself and felt it went very well.  I was a little hesitant when I was thinking this thing up, I'm not that good at trying to put these types of things together.  What if no one showed up, or I posted bad directions, or the venue was closed / not there?  Luckily none of that happened, and all went well.  So anyone thinking about putting one of these meetups together, just go for it.

So I showed up at the coffee shop right around 11 to find Avagdu already there.  He was not hard to spot, totally wogged out.  I grabbed a cup of coffee and we sat and talked for about 1/2 hour before I happened to look over and see a guy who looked like the picture of OneEyedElf1.  So of course the question of etiquette comes in, do I walk up to this guy and ask him if he's OneEyedElf1, cause if he's not, that's really awkward.  We grabbed a table and continued are discussion.  The topics of conversation were wide ranging, everything to phone phreaking to work to relationships.  After about an hour of just talking and joking and finishing our coffee, Avagdu was kind enough to invite us back to his pad.  So we agreed, got the vehicles in a caravan and headed south.  Once at Avagdus, we relaxed and kicked back and went over Avagdus kit and had some good discussions about kit and setup.  I stayed till about 6:30pm then decided to head home.  For me, it was a great experience, and Avagdu and OneEyedElf1 are just great, stand up guys, it was my pleasure to meet them and get to hang out with them.

Good to hear the meet-up was a success. Last Saturday I and Saint, along with Alex and Ryan of Empower Thyself, met up in LA and made the trip to San Diego for a weekend of hacker goodness at Barcamp. It was a lot of fun, and as soon as I get back home (I'm currently staying at the Info Shop with the guys from Empower Thyself) I'll post a report and photos from the event. But back to the point.

I hope to hear of some more successful meet-ups. I'd suggest that instead of having a place and day you all decide to meet, try choosing an event to go to as a group. I found that helped a lot with building some camaraderie between the four of us at Barcamp.

Sweet, was wondering when you were gonna post them up.  Yeah, wonder what happened to OneEyedElf?  Just for clarification, the camo minivan just happened to be on the highway that weekend, and Avagdu got a pic of it!!

Too bad I missed out.  Now I'm stuck in Bellingham during the week, traveling weekends for family and other commitments..

So I might be going to Vancouver Washington and on my way might be stopping in Olympia, any takers for a coffee?

PM me or Hatterz when you're available and maybe we can work something out. Good to have another person on board.

I'm in Spain currently, but I'll try to make a meet-up when I get back state-side. I'm mostly in Bellingham.

So where does one want to meet?

I'm traveling up and down the Interstate system from Bellingham on the glorified, state and federal sponsord Choo Choo.

So time, date, location, hardware needed?  I'd do coffee at a wireless place for a couple hours.

Though my time will kind of short..
