Quote
I've actually seen it, as I mention at the end of the show.
Oh, my bad.

Quote
I don't think private industry really should be lobbying the government for anything

Yea, I've toyed with the idea of whether or not private industry should be barred from lobbying.  I'm not decided on that one yet. Maybe if there wasn't money involved it might be OK.  Certainly having paid off politicians is no good.

I believe in a separation of the government from most every aspect of society. It is there to serve a very limited role of general defense for its citizens, against those who'd seek to remove either their life, liberties, or property (with only a few minor exceptions). This separation, in my opinion, should expand to the market and those who represent it, such as businesses and the like. Individual citizens should be able to lobby the government, even if they are members of a company or some such, but the company itself should not be able to do so. They do not have the authority to speak on behalf of their entire workforce and all their stockholders.

Another great episode of your Audio Logs.  The material and production quality seems to improve every episode.  Great stuff, keep on doing it!

Thanks! I did make a few mistakes in this one as well, but I would hope they're getting progressively better in quality and content.

Oklahoma proclaiming sovereignty
Whhhhhhhhhhat? I live here and never heard of this. LINKS Never mind I found google!
Also if Thomas Jefferson was alive now, well he had this thing for revolution. "The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants."
Thomas Jefferson
I'll let his quote speak for it's self, We need a Thomas Jefferson now

The Sad Thing (tm) is that if someone with the conviction of Jefferson were alive today, one of three things would happen;

1) They'd be bought off
2) They'd be framed and put in jail for a long time
3) They'd be made to disappear

The entities that are in power today would never stand for the type of thinking that Jefferson was so masterful at.  He fought to make sure that all people (which in his day probably only meant white males, but that's a different topic all together) had access to education, fair treatment by their peers and the right to all freedoms.

The only way that we are going to be able to make any forward momentum to these past ideas is to deny the corporations the same rights that individuals have.

I completely agree.

Corporations are a legal fiction. Let's get rid of them.
