I wouldn't vote for either mccain or obama. The way I see it, a vote for either is a vote for the same kind of future, with a different face.

If I was in america, I would vote for Ron Paul. Keep in mind I don't normally vote, but I honestly believe if Ron Paul were in charge he would actually try to change something for the better. And if i was going to throw away a vote, i would at least vote how I actually feel.

And yes, I do believe you have a right to complain if you do not vote, because not voting is a vote for no one, basically saying 'none of you are any good'  Especially in the case of this election, where neither side is even really hiding the fact that they are more or less the same.

The canadian election was a gong show, it started with minority conservative government, ended with... minority conservative government. Millions of dollars and weeks of wasted time later, we've changed OH SO VERY MUCH. WOOP DE DOO. Only major difference is the green party has no more seats, but that's because they chose to ignore all major issues this time round and focus on the environment only. good call guys.
(keep in mind this wasn't a required election, the PM called election early, which is why I say it was a waste of time and money)
