Hey all, havent been active for a while, been busy with school.  So some of you may be familiar with the FallOut series RPG game back in the day.  For those that are not, it's a role playing game set in the nuclear wastelands of the future and your goal is to survive.  Well they just released the new one, FallOut 3, SKTFM posted some of the screenshots on his livejournal, the ones of D.C. being in ruins.  I have to say, I play the game and think of AfterNow.  The game is very dark and at times frightening and disturbing.  Also, it's incredibly fun to play.  For the AfterNow fans, if you want a RPG like TFTAN, FallOut 3 is the closet thing I have seen.

Yeah the Brotherhood of Steel is still in it, also with a group who split off, can't remember their name off hand.

@Vyraes - yeah Power Armor rules

I was at home for the last weekend and so spent the whole time playing Fallout 3.

First of all, f yes; power armour.

Secondly, I RECOMMEND THIS GAME SO MUCH I WOULD ALMOST BUY IT FOR YOU. Seriously, it's that good.

Thirdly, the Brotherhood splinter group are the Outcasts, or something similar.

Fourthly, there need to be more radio stations, but there's still a large archive of WTH!? and SKTFM Radio Show I haven't listened to yet. Galaxy News is alright, but after you've listened to it for nearly 3 days straight, it starts to grate.

Fifthly (er...), I wouldn't describe it as Afternow: The video Game, for the sole reason that it's too cheery and upbeat.

Another game that has a sort of Afternow feel to it: S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Shadow of Chernobyl

Oh yeah! I heard about S.T.A.L.K.E.R on Electronic Playground back when it was still in development, they did some sick shit with that game I heard. Most of the levels are actually part of Chernobyl.

I've got that too. It's pretty decent once you mod it up a little. And the entire playing area is comprised of parts of the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone (except for the bunker sections).

I wouldn't call Fallout 3 the Afternow video game.  If nothing else for the over abundance of firearms in the DC ruins.

None the less I must second the recommendation of this game.  Even so as soon as Bethesda cranks out the vitally needed patch.

Maybe one day we'll make Afternow, The Video Game. I think Afternow RPG would be first. :-)

Hmmm... now that's not a bad idea!

Of course there's no real need for Bethesha to crank it out now that the GECK has been released.
