If I were to make a guess as to why swf isn't working on the forum, I would have to say either javascript or the flash itself. Flash and javascript can be horribly misused and abused so most forum software will likely have both blocked by default and not easily enabled.

For anyone wondering, I'm bowing out. It was great being here but I have to move on. I wish I could stay and keep contributing here but it just can't continue.

So I guess the interesting question is, _should_ I re-enable the flash tags. Are they important enough that we are willing to risk some security issues for them? Also, do we want to clutter our page load with a few more 100kB elements?
What do you guys think?

Overall, for a "forum", I would say flash doesn't have a place (except for embedded video that is on topic).

Did someone say they needed Flash in their tags?
I think creating one's own forum and website should take care of that task..
But honestly, I'm tired of flash-only sites and useless teasers...
