"...It was because of this that the monks could practice their religious blood sport. Only the router knew how many thousand hooked into the stream only to have their minds washed away by the pulsing light.

Some would slump dead mere seconds after hooking up, while others burned more slowly in the stream. Sometimes the “pilgrims” as they were known to be called, would cry out, screaming in ecstasy and agony as their brains burned away.

Others would say things, strange words, or things they heard in there lives, the sounds of their minds clawing at memories to hold against the torrent of data....."

Awesome little slice of lit there. I appreciate the horror elements of Afternow more than the Sci-fi elements myself and from the sounds of brain matter being fried, looks like it might head that direction.

Thanks for the link Cimm and thanks for the excerpt Sean.

Scabbed Wings of Abbadon is FULLY available to be ordered through any library. I bought an ISBN number for just that purpose. Just give them the ISBN number to help along the process.

I did, they stated "it is not available through their normal sources" hence why i call bull. Was a little pissed off at that. But meh, i'll just GIVE them the books and they will put them on the shelf Tongue

Edit: for reference i wasn't ordering it for myself, i did that through lulu, I was trying to get them to order the book and put it on shelf for anyone to withdraw, you can make requests to my library for that.

Was it because there was some bias or other reasons why they would not carry the book?
