Yes, it's easiest to transcribe while at half speed. These are a word for word transcription so type every half or even portion of words that Sean says. I've never though about the laughing and coughing and don't know if that's standard. I don't think any of the other transcripts have it in it so just leave it out, otherwise it leads to transcriptions of the sounds in the background etc..

Hey just curious I am currently listening to the episodes and typing as I listen and am doing such at half speed.  Do you have a preference of how things should be typed up where for instance Sean starts one word but quickly shifts over to another without finishing the first word.  Also how would you prefer things like laughing or a cough into the transcript.

Understood, I had them in there for example as a *laugh* or *cough* but if you desire I will remove them.  Which is moderately redundant to say since you have pretty much already stated that you don't desire them to be in there so I will remove them and I will go through and fix the other areas where I had left out the half words that had been spoken but not desired since the actual word had been put in quickly after almost stating the other word... I am really sorry if this keeps going on I think I might have had too much to drink... I really hope I have some of this bottle left after tonight especially since I just bought this fucking thing.

I am slowly working on my 2nd transcription of "The miracle man of Vietnam", I just started Paramedic school so it has been super difficult to find ANY free time, I will try and get it in by the deadline. I am more than halfway done.

I've added some notes to help transcribe the episodes into the format we're using:

Notes On Transcribing:
- Transcribe word for word except for the following...
- Condense any repeated words to just one instance.
- Omit any instances of the phrases: "I mean" and "You know"
- Skip any noises or laughing
- Trailing unfinished sentences or thoughts should be marked with '...'
- Use VLC (free) to listen at reduced speeds ('[' to slow / ']' to speed up).

It only took a year and a half of procrastination *sigh*, but I just submitted copies of all of the episodes that I was set to do to Cimm's email.  Sorry for holding things up guys!  I'm afraid that my way of typing them might not adhere exactly to the new rules that were set up, but let me know if they are workable or what (if anything) needs to be fixed.

so witchhunter chronicles is uncalled for? ill send my word for word transcript along with the edit, so then you (cimm) can see if i took out more than needed or if there is more to take out ect.

We don't currently have plans for the WitchHunter Chronicles (maybe at a later date). Looking forward to seeing your transcript!

There are some that were claimed a while back but I haven't heard from for a while so some might free up very shortly. I'll message you if they do and I can assign them to you.  :)
