We of the past thank you in the future present for the info! I blame the lack of oxygen in that small studio for my brain hiccup.

Any way us Futurians can help ;)

As a fellow Security Guard...I know all of your pain that you described so well in the last show
"We are now up against live, hostile targets. So if Little Red Riding Hood shows up with a Bazooka and a bad attitude, I expect you to chin the bitch!"

I hope the next recording session, they can do a mic recording test to test out the system before they get started to make sure that the recording does not jump in and out.

But again, Dak and the others involved, thank you for the 3+ hour recordings and stories. :)

My recording is shit...so part of it is my fault.

Thanks for posting these MiG. Going to listen to them tomorrow at work.
I'm not sure if I can stomach another horror story from the ER though.  lol

No offense meant to the guys that put this stuff on but I have to say that MAN is that some horrifically bad sound quality.  Is there anything we can do to help clean this up some?  Better microphones?  Better compression?  Really I think it sounds more like a really bad encoding job.

1. The original recording isnt very good to begin with
2. I am recording from the line out to the line in of my laptop, which inherently sucks
3. If you want to devote your time and money for something of higher quality, do it yourself.

Misanthropic_Gods: Is there a way we could help by helping in some way? Maybe help get a better mic? Maybe a USB one?

Im not sure...I wont be devoting too terribly much time to this, but I will tweak a little bit and see if running it through Audacity instead of the shitty program I was using before would help. If there is any way you can help, I will let you know.

On an unrealted note, I just passed 1000 posts!!!!!  ;D

Well that's what I'm doing with this question. Trying to help make it higher quality.  Hell I wouldn't mind ponying up a few bucks for a few pieces of kit to help out the show.

Ah, sorry. I think I was reading hostility where there was none. I have been taking some flak around here lately so im kind of in a no-BS attitude around here.

All that I am doing is recording from the RR talk broadcast...I will se what I can do to clean it up and muck about. we shall see next week!

No worries.  Drop a line here if there's anything we can do.   ;D

Have you tried an OLD version of station ripper? That is what I used to use to record 128kbps Newsreal eps.
