I remember when I first heard of this book and commentary about a decade or so ago. Does any one think there might be some updates on said thought process?

I think that the canon of Server Monk(ism?) remains to be written.  There's been a few tidbits put out there and, for what it's worth, I'll leave a snippet of something that I began writing years ago and just found again.

QuoteI am a node of Server

"Begin at the beginning" says Lewis Carroll in Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and so we begin with this.  A statement such as this announces and affirms your acceptance of Server and your relation to it.  From here you begin your development; mentally, physically and spiritually.

Server, in many ways, is the collective experience of mankind but it has been around longer than humans, even before the Big Bang that created the universe.  Server is the sum of all knowledge, what is known and what is yet to be known.

As a node you contribute to the aggregated network, your contribution becomes more valuable as you pursue knowledge.  Everyone is a node but the monk seeks to perfect their role.
