I'm going to assume your referring to British Columbia. The frist thing that jump to mind is fishing  gear being in your kit. Some good quality wet weather gear would probbery  a wise idea given what the climate is like there.

well... it's been a week and I adapting well to my new surroundings. From city life to island life... I am finding I am spending more and more time outside of my home.  Even Transit out here was interesting... I went from being accustomed to people with the headphones jammed in their ears or staring at their phones & tablets... never speaking a word to another.. BCtransit on the island has been shall we say an eye opener :) was the only one on the bus with a smartphone :P was quite a weird sensation.

With all the fires out there right now. My some fire protective equipment. But seriously a banana, shemagh maybe or  some kind of respirator dust mask and some goggles might not be a bad idea.
